Do not...

... drink mulled wine stretched with currant juice. It will keep you going- all night long. At six thirty in the morning I called it a night and got up for good. Prepared breakfast, brought in the daily (damn, it was so cold outside) then did a bit of reading, a crossword puzzle and the tricky but solvable (without guessing!) sudoko from last day. When hubby got up I already had had a shower. I changed the bedclothes and put them into the washing machine. Afterwards I finished the jigsaw- this one was way too easy save for the border- then started a deep cleaning of the conservatory. I was chasing spiders with my broom for a while, before I resorted to the use insect spray, to get to those beasts under the rack with the plants. Hubby cleaned the windows, the Afghan rugs are airing on the terrace until tomorrow, when hopefully the tiled floor will be dry again. I might have overdone with the amount of cleaning water, but I won´t turn the radiant heater on to dry the flooding. There´s always tomorrow to settle what´s left of chores. Apropos chores- remember that number three wanted hubby to take him and Matthäus to the convalescent home, but then daughter-in-law took a one-day leave and brought them there? Now it´s back to St. Pölten next week and she won´t be able to pick her husband up. Hubby and I are supposed to do it this time, with a detour in our direction for the acquisition of handmade hunting boots. I do not even want to no the costs of those shoes. And how many kilometres we will have to drive...
Lunch was a spicy affair. I am using the yellow chillies up, while the red ones are left to rot away. I think we are down to fifteen now, which is good, because the last time hubby added one of them to his Swiss wurstsalat he almost burned up!
Weather was supposed to be sunny and warmer than yesterday. We had sun, indeed, for two hours, then the fog was back. Temperatures are not so great, we did not make it over six degrees. I forgot to bring in the plants that lived on the balcony during summer. Once again- there´s always tomorrow. Only the strong survive...
Our garden is mostly void of colours now- in the backyard the trees are practically bare. It´s only the hortensias and the tiny maple which make a nice combination of rusty red and faded pink...
