Perfect timing
Nov. 19th, 2024 06:29 pm We left at seven in the morning and arrived at the sanatorium at 10:30. The drive had been a battle against the navigation system in my car- at some point we had three sat navs running, two on the mobiles and the one in the car. The car's one was intent on sending us to a town with the same name, the mobiles at least found the right town but different routes. We eventuelly travelled old school and followed the street signs, but I was very tempted to ban husband from the driver's seat. That man tends to ignore traffic lights, bus lines and border stones when nervous. At the sanatorium we had coffee and cookies next to a howling grandson who wanted his dad, who in return did not want him, because he had to store suitcases and a stroller in our car. Then we continued our trip and did a visit to the Army Shop for son's new boots for hunting. After that it was to Pölten, or better, the tiny village about 30 kilometres off the town, where the family is living at the moment, since their water-damaged house will only be dry enough for moving in in February. We had more coffee and more cookies with DiL and Elsa. I started my job as back-up driver then, because hubby was tired. Not the best idea, because after two hours of driving my shoulder hurt like hell. At the pizzeria in Mondsee hubby took over again. It was so embarrassing that he had to close the car door for me, because I was no more able to grab the door handle! At least I was able to type the daily entry while having pizza and a glass of Sangiovese. I love that wine! Now one hour in front of the TV- I hope I won't fall asleep in my recliner. Sitting in a car almost all day long is exhausting :))
