What I did today

 Got up early, had a chat with my birthday friend, made a healthy breakfast then took a shower. Which maybe was not the best idea, because hubby had decided to buy the Christmas tree this morning. And I hate the sight of the hair drier blowing away what´s left of my hair. We drove to the garden centre, and a pretty tree was found in less than five minutes. I also found a nice present for my birthday friend in the shop. There was a lady who had found her tree, too, only that she was at the garden centre without her car. So we brought her and her tree home first- she did not live far- then went back to our house. Put the tree into a bucket of water after sawing away the bottom end of the trunk then barricaded it against cat pee attacks. Those furry beast will never again soil our Christmas tree, there are trees aplenty in the garden to pee on! Schnuckele, Schnurrle, Baronesse, get the hell out of the garage! Afterwards I knitted twenty rows on the cardigan and have the back almost finished. There´s a chance that I might finish the whole thing in time, if I work hard for the next week! Then I did a quick lunch (risotto with mushrooms and bacon hunter-style). Lots of garlic and parsley went into the rice, too. Afterwards blessed napping- only that napping makes me even more tired than I usually am, I will have to skip it to accomplish things in the afternoon. Needless to say that not much work got done then. I decorated the boys´ artificial tree with some of the new ornaments, sorted a box with cars- why do dinos and Playmobil figures always get into the wrong boxes- had another cup of coffee which still did not make me feel alive then gave up. Tomorrow is another day. No baking got done once again. I went up to the studio, decluttered my desk and did some dusting. Hubby brought me the laundered bedding which almost burst the drawer when I put it in. He will have a tiny bit of repair work to do after my harsh stuffing- so much about what´s come out will go back in easily! Double haha! Hubby was off in the late afternoon for a first Krampuslauf. Tomorrow will be the next, final one. After that it´s Perchten only! I bet that Cassian is more than excited already. Today it´s him and granddad only. I hope that the boy won´t get lost when he is after the spooky figures!

I just noticed that one chain of glittering icicles is not working again. It was okay for two days, now it´s on strike- does so each and every year. Some days (usually cold ones) it will work, then not. Hubby says it´s a she with premenstrual syndrome. Good that there´s no more reason for me to be offended!
