At six thirty...
Mar. 6th, 2025 05:52 pm ...the race is on: breakfast for four now, brush the teeth, do a quick wash of sticky faces, dress the boys for kindergarten, short playtime which always ends up with one of the two howling. At eight they are off and I am down. At twelve they are back for lunch. It feels so very strange that things I thought for granted have been taken from me- like late lunch time, naps whenever needed, being able to leave the house whenever I want, visits to neighbours and and and... big-time whining, I know! Fortunately tomorrow will be the last day- until DiL finds another loophole to get out of dreaded maternal duty. Number two would have taken the boys during night- he is used to ready them and bring them to kindergarten in the morning- but since DiL is off with the family car hubby would have to bring Cassian and Flavius to their house each evening. Hubby was the one who was dead sure that keeping the boys for four days straight was a good idea. Hubby is cured now, the constant hubbub was too much even for him. Come tomorrow evening the boys will be back home. At least I hope so- son has to work late, hubby is in a concert, and I? Depends on when DiL will show up to take back her offspring!
Much got done in the garden during the afternoon. Cassian and I did the last pruning, hubby and Flavius raked leaves off the lawn which is more of a meadow, the garden chairs made it back onto the terrace. Those daffodils surviving the attack of the mad newspaper got replanted again and are on the table next to the entry door. The pansies will have to wait for planting- there´s no time to do the drive to the cemetery to pick up the planting bowl.
Another race started at six thirty today- number three posted a picture of Elsa with her birthday cake. Princess turned six today- time does indeed fly! Whatsapp beeped non-stop- congratulations sent to the family´s Whatsapp group, thanks returned. At some point I turned my mobile to mute. There will be time enough to read all those messages in the evening, when I will be to bed. And now it´s down to the living room to feed the little monsters! Another thing I miss very much- being able to turn my PC on when and as long as I want!
