Guess what!
Mar. 12th, 2025 06:35 pm There´s the one shop here which has a very different layout of leaflets, half of it filled with tools and plants. The shop is a mess- there are containers with diverse things like wool and books and other things- but never those depicted in the leaflets. Today I did another tour to this shop, in hope that they´d finally sell those things I wanted to buy on Monday. Nothing. Nada. As always. Either there are people crashing this shop the moment they open on Mondays or those products never make it into the containers. I assume it´s the second option. But I found a cute unicorn colouring book for Elsa and one with dinos for Cassian. Not that the boy loves dinos so much, but it will be a good exercise for how-to- wield a pencil. Coming back home I found that the entry door had been unlocked the time I had been away. I had thought that my husband was working in the garden, at the back of the house, but no, he had been touring on his e-bike again. Only that he forgot to put on his trainers- a sure sign for me that he is off. No one was interested in breaking in, so no harm done! Lucky me!
For lunch I did a ??? I found among the reels on Facebook. No name, no measurements. The only thing I know is that it is a Turkish recipe, and that it tastes awesome. Since I only needed half of the pastry I will do baklava from the rest tomorrow. Daughter came in the afternoon, ate what was left of the ??? and the banana cake. Better than the broccoli she had for lunch, so she said. Even though the recipe she used sounds very interesting- she made the vegetable with bacon (optional), soy and peanut sauce. Interesting, indeed...
In the morning hubby brought the paper collection bin to the collecting point at the beginning of the street- today was monthly collection day. Unfortunately he put as much of the leaflets and other papers into the bin- such as two bills not yet paid. One he was able to retrieve, the second one must have deserted to the bottom of the bin. Well, it´s church tax only, they will send another demand note. They are not picky but glad if there are still people paying taxes. It´s such a shame!
It´s six thirty in the evening, and although the weather is clouded it´s not dark yet. I am so waiting for the change to summer time. Many people make a fuss because of it, but I can do without light in the early morning but prefer long, bright evenings. And now it´s off to the news on TV and to bed early, because early shift transport is looming...
