Finally!

Two more early shifts for daughter and me! Though I am a bit out of sorts with her I miss getting up early, with coffee , a car drive and falling back into the bed. Doing the tour de loo at this time is definitely not a replacement but keeps me awake even longer! And in case I will see the paperlady I am to give her the bar of chocolate hubby has bought for her now that the newspaper is in the box again.
Weather forecast and weather itself do not match- it should have been raining all day long yet we got sun, lots of it. Not as warm as the days before, but perfect to continue with outdoor decorating. Meanwhile hubby was testing if the patched tyre would hold. He needed three test drives to be sure, leaving the most part of the house cleaning to me. So after decorating I swamped the upper bathroom with sudsy water, did the same with the shower stall. Then I waited. Three, two, one- hubby returned. Three, two, one- hubby complained about the swamping (he has specialised on next-to-dry floor mopping- if you ask me it´s quite ineffective). I told him that if he did not like my way to clean tiled floors he better do it himself and not cycle around all morning long. Then I wandered off to do more drawer decluttering. And I got wiser- those things I want to go will land in the bin- immediately! Because yesterday some of those objects showed up in another drawer...
Lunch was an easy affair- spaghetti with the last jar of the walnut pesto I had made. During the time the water needed for boiling I did the batter for a banana cake. No recipe, but it turned out perfect! I had what I thought a lengthy nap, floating between sleeping and being only half asleep for quite a while, basking in the warmth of the sunlight on the marital bed. When I finally got up i noticed that I had been in bed for less than an hour- the best hour of the day. No strange dreams like the one I had during last night, when my family and I had to rehouse twice- we lived on the shores of a romantic beach. Unfortunately there was a volcano literally among us, who kept us on our toes with his tantrums( Vulcanos personified lived and dined with us and had a bad temper). I remember that I had to pack our belongings into cardboard boxes and put them onto a small boat... Since I had packed a good part of the night I dragged a cardboard box up from the basement and began to declutter more drawers- some things for the bin, more things for the upcoming flea market. At least I was able to pack again, already missed it!
