I really intended to finish my shawl. Only a few rows to go! The weather was abysmal- way too cold (we only made it up to seven degrees), way too wet- and household chores were rare. Of course, one can dust the furniture daily. If one wants to. Well, I am not the one. Twice a week has to be more than enough. Lunch was extra hot chipotle soup with potatoes and garlicked tortillas. Easy-peasy to do, so enough time for crocheting. Yes, but... hubby decided to start the big de-tiling of the terrace in the short pauses the rain took to regenerate. Apparently rain took pauses aplenty, because the noise seemingly never stopped. The combination of a sore throat and noise-induced headache made me retire to the back of the house, shawl in tow- where I was confronted with our neighbour producing more of the dreaded noise. I now know what Ohropax are made for. After lunch I gave up on crocheting, fled to town and did some shopping- came back with a dark blue cardigan, which feels nice on the skin. I was carefully avoiding people near me to not pass over my germs, though my throat is already much better. Cassian turned sick yesterday, has problems with his ears. No news from St. Pölten, so no clue if Elsa and Matthäus got sick, too. Not funny how fast germs can spread!
De-tiling was closed for today when I came back home. Lucky me!
I only spent a few minutes cycling on my exercise bike, which has once again started groaning and moaning the moment I mount it- no loose screws this time, they still are all tightened up.
Hubby left four times for the rubbish dump to get rid of the tiles. Each time he left he asked me if we'd need things from the grocery store. No clue what he wants, but it has to be about tomorrow's lunch- he already has lined up sauce Bolognese, dried tomatoes and the last piece of old Gouda in the first row of the fridge. Not even a blind old bat like me can miss those signs- noodle day ahead! Hubby loves noodles, while I will defrost chicken fillet for me. Not such a fan of noodles during diet times...
