What a way...

 ...to get woken! At six thirty I thought I heard something near my bed, opened my still tired eyes- and was confronted with a glowing, one-eared cat clock. 'Sun is up, time to get out of bed!' Cassian told me. Grrr! He was definitely not the one who had to get up at three in the morning! Of course, I also went to bed late yesterday, because son's train was delayed...
Not much of importance got done today. Mostly housework and tidying away the toys that get retrieved from the basement. More Lego, more Playmobil, more cars, less space to walk across the room. Hubby made lunch while I picked daughter up at the airport. No after-lunch nap, because we did clothes shopping. Back home we found son and hubby napping and the rascals happily fighting, as always. I sincerely hope that number two will have them for the weekend. That he won't do so next week hubby already told me. Iron Maiden does a concert in Vienna on July 17th. And there are friends living there. And no wife, who always wants to come along (and idiot grandparents who are taking care of the offspring). At least we had one child-free hour in the afternoon, when the boys where with Luca in neighbour's house. But Luca is off on vacation next week, as is neighbour. Sister and her husband will travel to Berlin. Meanwhile hubby and I will enjoy grandparent duty, mostly inside the house, because summer weather will stay elsewhere for the next days. Strictly speaking, it might stay absent for the most part of July, if weather forecast is correct, which I hope it isn't. Now I am reflecting about the weather we had on seven sleepers day. Because I think it was quite okay then, which should have indicated that we were to have seven weeks of summer with occasional thunderstorms. Today it's a week since summer bowed out. This week's temperatures were pending between 12 and 16 degrees. Typical summer weather? I think not!
