How to not sleep through
Jul. 12th, 2025 05:29 pm No, it's not about the nightly Tour de Loo. I slept well until two in the morning, when four gun salutes or something of the sort woke me and a lot of people in the area. Afterwards one could hear sounds of an outdoor party- techno music, people chatting, later on people shouting. Who the heck is doing outdoor parties at such a weather- 14 degrees and rain! Then again, now that we are back to standard summer weather it might be hard to find a weekend without rain!
I stayed in bed longer than the days before but not as long as I had planned. Did my e-mail writing in bed. Read the dailies online. Did two online crossword puzzles, before I got up. Had a wrap for breakfast- ham and cheese this time. Son wanted lemon rice with chicken for lunch, so hubby took his bike to buy lemons. He has to make good use of the time the boys aren't with us- his bike had to stay unused in the garage all week long. Poor wee little thing (hubby's bike is one huge monster). I had a good, long after-lunch nap, the first real one since the boys got dropped here. Not even hubby's attempts at getting the pool water from green to clean were rousing me. Now I think that it had not been only Cassian's and his brother's attempts at drowning me which were the only culprit of the bad state my eyes are in- the salt master is not working the way it is supposed to, hence bacterias in the water. That thing is old and needs replacement, but hubby thinks it's fine. No, it is not, husband dearest! That thing has started dying last summer already, you only did not want to realise!
After napping I turned my PC on to browse Deviantart, only to realise that the the moment I clicked on a picture the screen would turn black. Son, who had just informed us that he´d return to Graz this afternoon, showed me how to get out of the situation by using the esc button. Then we tried Firefox, where Deviantart ran without problems. Next step: update outdated drivers. That went well until my PC hang. I was livid, son even more, because he needed to get to the trainstation in time. We stopped the updating, I will have to ask number one for help. At least, my PC is still working...
Update on the pool: The water is back to normal, hubby thinks problem is solved.
Update on my eyes: They are worse than yesterday. If this continues I will have to get another appointment at the eye doctor this week. Don´t like...
