That's strange

We do not drink milk in our household. We buy it, because our visitors love coffee with milk- hubby and I drink black coffee only. We need milk only for cooking- cakes, palatschinken and the like. All summer long, even in June, when it was really hot (for two weeks straight, yes, miracles happen, indeed) our milk in the fridge did not turn sour. Not even when beyond expiry date. The one which lasted longest was two weeks over it and still made it into palatschinken batter. Now that it's cool (outside and inside) milk turns sour before expiry date. We do not treat it differently- out of the shop and into the fridge, where it stays save for the short time one needs to pour it into a creamer. I don't get it. Today was the fourth time in a row I had to send hubby to the grocery shop for new milk- needed it for frittaten for beef soup with vegetables, but the old milk came out in form of small lumps four days before expiring.
Hubby picked daughter up in town, we had lunch, then hubby did his usual rest while daughter and I went to Tedi. Of course, none of the things listed in the circular were available, as always, so I will have to turn to Aldi for floating candles next Monday. Not that Aldi is that far away, but I would love to see the day when Tedi sells what´s shown in the circular. But I found lots of other things I will need for handicrafting with the boys- for both Halloween and Christmas. Also got that fake window I always wanted for decoration- fifteen euros only! Hubby was horrified (he will have to screw it on), I am delighted. Have been searching for one for a long time!
We had eggnogg cake done by daughter dearest, the only one in the family who loves to bake. Afterwards we continued with the book nook but had to stop, when the glue did not dry quickly enough to start with the next step of the instruction. We will continue tomorrow, because daughter does stay overnight and will go back to salzburg after Flavius´s birthday party.
I tasted the strangest Twix ever- white chocolate with cookie and wasabi. Daughter had bought these in Tokyo. To each their own, but good that Japan is so far away.
