...to dark days, though definitely warmer. hubb was able to hack some of the ice off which made the trip to our bins very interesting. I am so waiting for spring. birds here are thinking that it´s spring already- one of them started a concertino at six in the morning.
Today was Oscar´s twelfth birthday. Oh dear, time does indeed fly! At five thirty in the morning the first birthday wishes got sent to Oscar´s Whatsapp group by family number three. Please remind me to turn the sound of my mobile off soonest, because daughter´s birthday, who has her own group on Whatsapp, is looming- and she lots of friends in NZ and Japan. I do not want to get woken to constant beeping during night!
We had an early lunch today, because we gifted Oskar a coupon for birthday hubby intended to give him after school ended. Only that Oskar stormed by hubby´s car and was off with his father, who had forgotten to tell him to wait for his grandpa. They met at the cake shop some minutes later, where Oskar had hot chocolate and cake and son and hubby coffee. Good for the three of them, bad for me, because I still sat at home, brooding over my knitting project. At least hubby brought me a Faschingskrapfen...
In the afternoon I spent some time on my PC searching for baking moulds for muffins daughter wants for her birthday. She was not sure if she´d want one for big muffins or not. I told her to take the smaller moulds which usually come in double packs on Amazon, and not opt for a silicone one, unless she loves that glibbery sensation when moving the mould onto the rack. Baking mould is ordered and will arrive tomorrow. Now all I have to do is search for a cheese cake recipe with mango. An easy one were I only have to mix all ingredients together, preferably sans cake base. I am pretty sure I saved one on FB once...
I will have to buy a new computer mouse tomorrow, because mine is breaking apart in record time. Maybe I was too rude with the black menace, which always spewed one of the batteries out! A new mousepad would also be nice, but I am quite picky concerning motives. Last one I had was a No-Santa mousepad I got for Christmas a few years ago, which I banished to an unknown place after Christmas. It was never found again...
