Today I took the Christmas tree´s glass ornaments down and put them into a huge box for further sorting. Tree is in the garden now for little birds to hide in its branches from cats prowling round. Though it has been in the conservatory for a month and a half it did not shed many of its needles. Yet hubby thought that my cleaning spree that had followed the tree´s elimination surely must have clogged the ducts of our vacuum cleaner, so he began to take it apart - and promptly broke it. I now need a new vac, because you cannot clean and hold the duct in place at the same time. But that´s hubby...always trying to be helpful while he is not.
The glass ornaments will have to wait for further sorting, before they will start on their journey into the depths of our cellar. Yesterday I had been napping on my throne chair in front of the TV, the one in the studio, where I can snore without getting woken by an irate husband, remote in the hand, as always. I am so good at sleeping with things in hand that I spent a whole crime film with my mobile held fast, no dropping involved. This time I woke with my hand hurting and thicker than usual. And it swelled even more in the evening. I took some antirheumatics doctor gave me last year against backache and smeared Voltaren on it. It is better now yet far from okay. I have no clue what has hit me this time, but I will not risk the fragile life of my Christmas ornaments by dropping them instead of gently putting them into the appropriate carton.
Our lockdown will get eased - a bit. Children will be allowed to attend class, but only when getting tested twice a week. Shops and service providers are said to re-open soon. That I want to see! And who will make use of a hairdresser´s service when you need a valid Covid test!
Few will survive what our government has screwed up...

Best thing ever I got for birthday...

Got that chair from son number two, who bought it at an auction. But our cats turned it into a race course which ruined the leather pretty fast, so I had to drag it to the studio. At least I can sleep in front of the TV without getting bothered.
