Not much to tell
Sep. 28th, 2021 06:48 pmIt was one of those days nothing happened at all. Not much housework to do, nothing to shop for. So I tidied my studio, put away the canvas stand (the room is too small for painting anyway) and ate the rest of the chocolate I got for birthday (found the one daughter had gifted me), which is not good, because now I will have to buy new one for video watching with Cassian. Now that my knitting project is finished I will have to continue with embroidery. I am so not made for embroidery! The jacket I was able to do without a pattern. But doing a Christmassy pattern is way harder, especially when one third of the floss I´d need isn´t available in shops here, and I have to improvise all the time!
Weather is fine, high fog until noon, then the sun takes over. Should be the same tomorrow, but you never know. I better prune some of the trees, or snow might break the branches in winter. Ah yes, some idiotic politician came up with the idea of forbidding heating during the months of summer. We really have too many dimwits in our government. My mind tells me that it is not okay to have people freeze in their flat, or house, or, even worse, retirement homes during another cold summer, because one madman wants to show off!

Only once in my entire life have I made a full Läufer, and it's unlikely that I'll embrace such a bold adventure ever again. For me, paper embroidery is the way to go; one can make beautiful cards that way, and it doesn't take too long.
