Not amused

Not much embroidering got done today. I nicked my skin when breaking open the vial with Namo´s medicine, and a second time when cutting vegetables for minestrone, and though it does not hurt a bit the plasters won´t stick to the skin, and I might soil the beige linen without one. But I did a draft of the dratted Christmas tree which is next. Not so easy when you only have a vague pattern. Wish me luck with this!
Yesterday a neighbour came for a visit, to have a glass of wine with me and report about her recent sailing trip. The lady is 87, it´s quite bold to do a two-week trip with two of her friends (both older than me, one has a sailing patent, yet all three are really old for such an undertaking) and one skipper! Usually we have tons of fun when sitting together, but this time husband mine was not leaving my side. To cut the story short, we did not talk much about sailing, but neighbour now knows everything about hubby´s bacon, where he buys the meat, how long it takes for it to ripen in salt and which sort of wood he takes for cold smoking. Oh dear, now he gets overprotective plus wants to be the centre of interest! I am not amused!

Sounds like a little kid that wants to monopolize Momma's attention! *g*

That's really annoying, the little injury. I've done the same yesterday, and you wouldn't think how bothersome it is, whatever I'm trying to do. Well, actually you probably can imagine, being in the same situation right now. *sigh*

Little injuries are worst, because you won´t take them seriously, although there are a lot of things you won´t be able to do then!

Oh bother! Those tiny nicks are such a nuisance.

What I do not understand is that there are people aplenty who won´t lose those plasters every five minutes!
