We did it! Our Advent wreaths are finished, though with a lot of hoppalas (mishaps in German). The wire came off the piece of wood it was wrapped round with the first twist I did. From then on I struggled to keep the loose end out of the way at every new twist. Then I managed to snap the florist's wire twice, my friend only once, before it came off the wood like mine had. But all was well in the end, save that we did not have prosecco, because we did not feel like. Friend is back home, I am in bed now. Still aching all over, still bone-tired. Well, tomorrow's another day. Might be there will be snow (which I do not like or need).

It looks lovely! There were years (after I'd returned home from the cloister) when I made my Advent wreaths myself, too. In these days, though, we stick to the artificial one, for the very sentimental reason that "Granny has still seen it".

I hope you'll feel better tomorrow! *hugs*

Much better today! Now I am worried that hubby won't take his booster, he's such a sissy!

That is really lovely.

I am not achy now — but my arm has reached the itchy stage where I want to scratch it but know I shouldn't.

I love the smell of Advent wreaths, the 'real' ones! Hopefully the itching will go away soon!
