After a sleepless night because of the storm raging outside I made my way down to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. First thing I saw was that the cover panels of the motion sensors were off again. Those were happily rolling over on the meagre rest of the snow. And that we had a lot more of the outdoor furniture in the garden now which is supposed to be on the terrace. Then another gust rattled Tiny Tim, and that was when I got suspicious, because the tree I hate seemed a bit out of balance. Do you see what I see?

Good for hubby- if the storm continues, he might be spared of shovelling the roots free when he cuts the tree down. Then again, in German the word storm is male, and since males tend to never finish what they start there´s a good chance that the storm will die down before it blows the tree completely down. We will see... Just now a neighbour asked me to forward a message to a former neighbour, whose son lives in her old house- an albeit small part of the roof is now in their garden instead of on top of the house. But now I have to do lunch, because a friend of mine will come for a visit. And huzzah, storm has started anew, so maybe Tiny Tim will be down soon!

There is, indeed. I had planted a tiny tree that should never grown as high as our house. And in summer, when the swimming pool is open, wind blows the dead needles straight into the water. But no more- there's a fruit tree which will occupy this place from now on!
