Next date with a vet will be on Monday. Got a phone call that we had to postpone today´s appointment, because our vet got sick. Either there´ll be a subtitute or I will have to look for a new one on Monday. Hubby has been hunting for a bike helmet for Elsa´s birthday, a special one with magnetic catch, because the young lady always makes a big fuss when she has to wear her old helmet. Her dad got the skin of her chin caught once, when he wanted to take her for a bike ride. Since then- drama pure. That´s what Elsa does best! I still do not know if hubby got the right one. At least my present is wrapped- a Schleich veterinary praxis I had ordered from Amazon a few weeks ago. Not the best choice if you consider the actual circumstances! We will be off tomorrow in the early morning, and daughter will come with us. No use for her to sit next to a dying cat and bawl her eyes out!
We have started a new jigsawpuzzle. 1000 pieces only, but that thing is tricky! Too many flowers, I´d say! Plus it´s hard to work in the conservatory- freezing cold in the morning (we had to turn the fan heater on) and extremely hot at midday (daughter dearest did turn the fan heater on again, this time for cooling the room down, but I showed her that opening two of the windows would do the trick also). Those young ones only believe in electrical magic!

True. When I was baking with the kids in the Hort (sorry, don't know the English word for it), they always yammered why they were to use the hand whisk when there was an electric mixer, too. I told them, it was because the hand whisk worked during an electricity fallout, too. They looked at me as if I had sprouted a second head! But afterwards they had great fun standing in the queue to take over whisking from the one that got cramps and couldn't continue. *g*

I think that little Elsa´s call for new batteries, when the sun had went down behind the hills, falls into this category!
