Sorry about the false report...
Dec. 12th, 2023 07:14 pm ...because we do have a jungle in the bathroom now. Hubby had the fabulous idea that the monstera from the conservatory surely would love the wet climate (and he´d be rid of her for a while). My monstera is monstrous, even though I cut the top leaves. When taking a shower I can pretend to stand under a waterfall in the rain forest now, together with a lot of blessedly small insects which made it into the bathroom with the plant. Daughter dearest will not be amused, I already put the insect spray out for her, when she will come for a visit. Oh well, as long as I don´t find a spider...
I baked two sorts of cookies in the morning then did more preparations for Christmas Eve- toys into new boxes and down into the cellar. Then I pampered the ´ancient´ Christkindl made of wax (decapitated and a bit scorched, but mum would rotate in her grave if I´d dispose of it) with a new bed of fir twigs and a fresh diaper, even washed the blanket made of an old handkerchief. Then son number one together with Xaver came for a visit, and all the toys got brought back up from the cellar by husband...
Three hours later I was finally able to start the edging of the throw. Single crochets only, but lots of it, because one row is 710 single crochets- and the last row is the crab stitch-oh dear! While crocheting I turned the TV on in the studio, listened to a lot of presumptions about aliens, had a few fits of laughter and know now that the door to the void has to be in the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, where they have found a room with a series of doors, with a last one which cannot be opened. Surely this Door of Night is guarded and warded by spells, because humans who tried to find a way to open it all died an untimely death. Oh, the things they broadcast on TV!
