Holiday decorations

Take a branch (mine was about 4 metres) and fix it on your ceiling. Decorate it with straw stars, Christmas balls, slices of dried oranges, cinnamon and other bric-a-brac. Then let the cats in and- voila - you have your private Cirque du Soleil, cats sailing across the room, performing all kinds of contortions to get hold of all the shiny things that surely have to be toys for cats only. Now I need a new glass table and a vase. Do the damaged plants count as hits, too?

Easily fixed in my house (wooden ceilings, alpine style, hooray!),
but hard to defend against cats.
