noadvertising ...with the rain. In the morning rain was on, off around lunch time, and in the afternoon we got more downpour. Way too cool for the end of May (well hello, twelve degrees only) but they say that it will get better from tomorrow on- for two days, until thunderstorms will strike and temperatures will go down again. I did not go out of the house save for emptying the bins. What for- doing a stroll? No, thanks, still dead after walking so much! Unfortunately three of my offspring remembered that I had been away and wanted a report. Especially number three, who took almost one hour of my leisure time. I did lunch from scratch (pork strips and potato cubes cooked in green curry sauce). Afternoon got spent with searching more candy tops for granddaughter. I have the yarn (five teeth rotting shades of Elsa´s favourites), I have the needles, what I don´t have is much time and a pattern- we will visit the family at Pentecost, when the summer top should be finished. Not that I am a slow knitter, but Elsa is a big, big girl, so lots of knitting has to get done. DiL sent me a video of her singing at the local children's First Communion- she is taller than those second-graders, even though she will not start school until autumn!
I had a funny dream, probably induced by the fact that I finally found out about the bank holiday in GB on the 26th (we wondered why so many children were in the studios)- I had a scheduler on the table, which showed that it was May the 29th, a church holiday here. Friday the 30th, Saturday the 31th, so Sunday had to be May 1st. May Day celebrations ahead-yay! Um. Strange. Let´s do it again. I think I did the counting a few times before I got so mad at myself that I woke and realised that it´s June that succeeds May. By then it was seven thirty in the morning and it´s been the first time after a long while that I slept through!
