Wonderful world of hotness

noadvertising Really loved yesterday and today, with temperatures over thirty, a constant breeze and the pool nearby. This is how summer should feel like, especially because temperatures here usually drop down to sixteen during night, which means a good night's sleep with the windows open. Alas, the next days will bring the obligate thunderstorms, rain and meagre temperatures. Today 33, tomorrow 17- I already wonder if the glazier will be able to work on Monday. Hubby has grouted the last tiles on the terrace. Now his energy is spent, I fear those last tiles on the treads will get done in an unforeseeable future only. At least we are now able to take our coffee on the terrace- so much nicer!
In the morning I had to do a short trip to sister's flat to water the plants on the balcony. The next two days they should get plenty of water from above to make it through the rest of the week. That is what angers me so much- everybody is off to only God and they themselves know whereto, but hubby and I are supposed to take care of their homestead.
Once again hubby caused a change of menue plan by defreezing too much chicken fillet. He did not expect me to do chicken in peanut sauce. Definitely a meal he was not used to get served by his mum at home. At the moment I seem to sail a collision course against almost everyone. Will have to control myself to avoid trouble! Besides, it's not fair towards hubby and whoelse who comes to our house for a visit. Maybe it's enviousness about people having fun-Whatsapp is full of pretty pictures with lots of sea to see, and I miss the sea.
At four thirty we heard the first rumblings of thunder, and hubby was immediately in panic mode. Covered cement, tiles and tools. Did not even think about the car that cannot be parked in the carport which got turned into a toolport. I sincerely hope that we won't have hail...
