...more rain. More cool weather. A running nose. The latter is hubby's fault, he gave in to Cassian's wish to turn the aircon on. Yes, it was warm in the boys' bedroom, but only because grandpa had closed all doors to the rooms on the upper floor. Which, of course, cut off the air draft, hence a warm master bedroom, hence more aircon and me in between. I totally overslept, since I had been the only one noticing the thunderstorm with strong winds at two in the morning and had to bring in the bathing equipment. Almost tumbled, because Cassian had constructed a trap made of bungee straps to catch thieves. That boy! After a ten o'clock snack we left for shopping. There's nothing worse than having two exuberant boys in the house who'd love to go and play in garden but can't because of all that darn rain, so going shopping was a relief. I did curd dumplings with stewed plums for lunch. The boys loved them, hubby was ecstatic, while I warmed up the Greek strudel for me- and had Cassian eat all olives before he munched the dumplings. When Flavius took his nap we finished HP 2 and started with movie number three. Finally, werewolve! Hubby vacuumed my car and installed the children's seats in the back of the back, even though amusement park won't happen tomorrow. We already have an alternate programme- salt mine in Berchtesgaden. Aunt Lil will come with us. She had insisted that I, too, will join them.
In the afternoon hubby and Flavius had a clash- the boy does not follow the rules if he feels so. Terrace and living room were covered with soil, five minutes after hubby allowed them to play with their colour-changing cars, which involved warm and cold water and not a single step onto the soddy garden. Flavius bit hubby, hubby got loud with grandson, I came to the rescue and stepped on the black Playmobil submarine Flavius himself had put on the only black dot of the carpet. Submarine punctured my foot, blood was involved, but I will survive...
