wiseheart, your card has arrived! In time, and it's lovely! It got put onto the commode in the conservatory next to the nativity scene- one angel more is a nice addition!
My day started at eight after a rather sleepless night. Hubby was off shopping (poor guy, shops were so crowded!) while I wanted to do Kokosbusserln,using a new recipe done with condensed milk sold in smallish tins instead of egg white. Only that I involuntarily opened the tin with condensed, caramelised milk, which has a nice, brown colour. Now I have sweet, tasty cookies which are as far from the original as Paapa Essiedu is from Alan Rickman. I was so very close to throw those cookies into the bin, but they seem to stay soft- for now...
I also made Dolci di noci after lunch (done by husband and son- palatschinken with tuna sauce) then went upstairs for a rest. It took only half an hour before the first caller disturbed my beauty sleep. It was a neighbour who had made some obscure Christmas drink we will test in the late afternoon. I gave up on resting and went back down to the kitchen to make the Christkindl punch. Extracting the juice of ten oranges is a lot of work if one has eliminated the juicer years ago, because no one ever needs it, but at least neighbour and I can test a different holiday drink...
