Easter Sunday got spent with family number two and splendid weather with really warm temperatures (24 degrees and lots of sunshine). Hubby helped son with the trampoline, while DiL and the boys were already at our house. Cassian and Flavius were both nervous, because until then they'd seen neither hide nor hair of the Easter rabbit. That changed, when their dad and hubby were back. Presents, eggs and chocolates got collected with much ado and brought into the house, under the watchful eyes of Constance and, worse, Charlotte. Charlotte is a bitch, intent on humbling other children, just the way her father and her uncles had acted. She did not hold back, as always. Her presents were better and there were more of them. Their car was newer, their dog bigger. Hubby was already preparing to dash outside to give moral support, when Cassian hit back, telling her that his pa was taller and hers was short, really short (true!), and Flavius added 'and rather thick' (true, too, but definitely not nice). Charlotte burst out crying and left the scene, beat at her own game. Served her well!
Greek lunch was really good, cake, too, and when family numbef two finally left at six, son and hubby retreated to the TV nook while I went upstairs and shamelessly napped.
Easter Monday was relatively quiet. We had leftovers from yesterday, so no need for cooking, though tomorrow I have to do curiouswombat's beef Indian style- wanted to cook it today, so the meat was already out of the freezer. The boys will love it- they'll be at our house tomorrow, until mummy is back from the gallery. Son number four meandered across the house, searching for the things he had spread all over but needed to pack now. At two in the afternoon the house was quiet, the rain had left and got replaced by sunshine, and hubby and I were trying to recuperate on the terrace sofa, while neighbour had a garden party. Oddly enough, my nose is behaving- next to no sneezing since two days ago, no nasal congestion, no running eyes, no breathing problems- pollen season must be over for me. Huzzah, if it's true, but almost too good to believe: usually season lasts until the end of April!
