Ow. And ouch!
Sep. 24th, 2012 09:04 pmOriginally, a trip to Vienna to visit my son had been planned. Since daughter of mine had decided that travelling was no fun at all, she promptly got sick, so we had to stay at home. After spending the wee hours furiously plowing through the content of my external hard disk drive, bemoaning the cancellation of the trip and looking for distraction by reading some of my older verbal outpoor, I decided to do something useful: I´d saw down my two lilac trees and the wild rose to expand my tiny Japanese garden, with hubby´s help, of course. The lilac trees were no problem at all. Then came the rose. Not even my cats in full battle mode would have been able to cause that much damage. I was ready to dash that darned thing with fuel to get rid of it for good and all, even if my house would have burst into flames, too. Now we are nursing our scratches. The cats are eying our injuries, all the while pondering who or what had been the culprit, and why there had not been the usual hooting down and the subsequent pursuit of the committer. At least, my face has been spared. We´ve been victorious, nothing else matters!
