Cats

So we have a new pack leader. Strictly speaking, only two cats belong to me, but two cats of our neighbour have decided they prefer to live in our house to make things more interesting, and four cats make a pack. And the winner is...Vaire, the former unimposing lady cat with a prospensity for doing evil behind my back. In the space of two weeks she has learned how to open doors, thusly causing havoc all over the place, pilfering meat and pastries, opening kitchen cupboards to get to the dry food which is locked-up, because Vaire must not eat it because of her bladder-stones. She is tearing through cardboard, even chewing up plastic containers to reach the goodies. Funniest thing is that she started to watch TV. Not the usual crap, but animal films. She´ll sit in front of the TV endlessly,  if I won´t zap to another channel. It´s no use to scold her, she´ll only make herself comfortable on my lap and sit out my tirades, then start causing havoc again. The other cats are enthusiastic and follow her wherever she goes. Never before their life was this thrilling!
