Seriously, people tend to irritate me when they, like crows, swarm out in crowds to circle around certain actors ( by now you know I´m talking about females only, men would only circle when sports are involved), praising their thespian abilities, beauty, sexy voice etc., only to eventually drop them, running after another oh so sexy, talented (insert your own praises, as you like) player at the next moment. May I point out a few? For instance, Orlando Bloom: he was pretty to watch but could by no means act, and that´s it. Anyway, girls were after him, even my daughter had a poster. (She was five, so that does not count!) But then: standstill. I don´t know if Bloom was relieved to be finally rid of those girlies. He even married. MARRIED! Thanks god he got a divorce that brought back some of his fans. Or not. A while later came Tom Hiddleston: not that good-looking but still pretty to watch, and a pretty good actor as well. Okay, maybe more than pretty good. Let´s say excellent. The blogs almost overflew with OMG Lokiiii! Yeah, Loki. That one role that did not even show his talent. Nowadays the crows flock to Benedict Cumberbatch. Hmmm, I´d love to know why. As an actor he isn´t bad. In "The Fifth Estate" I did even like him, honestly! A bit. Appearence: quite ordinary, five points out of ten.Hell yeah, even an old lady has the right to steal a glance at male beauty! Beauty is only skin deep, you say? You are right, of course. But then again, average appearance, good acting skills, there has to be something more that attracts females en masse. Ah yesss, the voice. Such a sexy voice, so that not even Peter Jackson could resist and hired him for The Hobbit. Great. Benedict Cumberbatch roaring like a dragon, moving around on all fours, providing the motion capture for the beast. That´s what female fans expect from their idol. And what a shame that I won´t watch the film in English, so not even a sexy voice for me. Damn! Now I wonder who will be next in the merry-go-round of actors, when Cumberbatch will be dropped like a hot potatoe. You all know the game! Apparently it´s pretty hard to stay in favour!
