Well that´s what I thought, too. Mum has given me her old choker, made of red, green and pink-coloured silk, with rings made of pearls and silver at the front side. She got it when she was fifteen. Really pretty and still stylish, so I decided to wear it yesterday. One hour later I felt the telltale signs of my allergy flaring up. No problem, open the clasp of the necklace, and that´s it? I wish, but I was not able to open the silver fastener, two rather tiny rings interlocked. I had to wait for another two hours, until my daughter returned from her music lessons. Up until then the rash had spread over my torso and upper arms, itching like mad. Fortunately our local pharmacy was on standby duty, or I´d have scratched myself bloody. I´m still covered in salve, looking ridiculous. I think I should pass the necklace to my daughter, that´s what I´ll do.
