Jun. 25th, 2014 12:08 pmToday began bad, really bad. I took a look in my mirror and knew: it´s that time of the month, again: Hair dyeing day, or what did you think! I had my first grey hair at the age of 13, immediately and unceremoniously torn out by my younger sister, who sat in the back seat of my father´s car. My dad almost drove the car into the roadside ditch because of my cry of anguish. Well, that´s my sister, get used to it (I never did!). So I dyed, or let´s say, I thought I´d dyed because dyeing is impossible if you use the pigmented hair foam only, without adding the developer fluid. More than half an hour spent for nothing, my hair is still grey at the roots. I dressed for school, though I had yet to prepare nourishment for my children: pasta al tonno. Tonno did not want to come out of the can. Should not have shaken it, Tonno was spread all over the kitchen and my clothes, so back to the dressing part it was.
But then: highlight of the day! I was able to answer my first soccer question on my toilet paper roll (yes, hubby has bought it in the super market!!!). Till that day I had miserably failed each and every question. This one was easy, you had to guess the place of the European Soccer Tournament 2008. I very well remember me and one single friend sitting on my terrace, under a sunshade, to avert the rain (there had been a summer storm an hour before), while at least twenty people were cramped in front of the TV in the living room, cheering and throwing popcorn while they viewed the final game, none of them having gotten tickets for the match. That´s when I bowed myself off soccer and other sports. Better sit in your own living room listening to music than leave the field to soccer addicts playing havoc!
