Just came back from a friend´s funeral. He´d been a nice elderly gentleman, a passionate amateur gardener and brewer who lived next to us. This was the fourth funeral of a neighbour I had to attend- in the space of eight weeks. None of them got older than 70, two weren´t even 50. Must be the healthy country air we breathe!
Yesterday hubby accidentally killed Shakespearse, or more precisely, the paper on him daughter had done for school. At first the printer did not work, then, after refilling the cartridge, daughter was able to print out, she put her paper on the table, then tossed her jeans into the washing machine and started the washing programme. Hubby put the printer ink back in the cardboard box, unfortunately upside down, and red and black wormed their way across the kitchen table into the Shakespeare folder. I cleaned the table, threw the paper into the bin, and daughter began to search her thumb drive to print out a second time, but did not find it. Well, I did when I emptied the washing machine. Poor little thing, had to run through a 40 degree wash cycle! And poor daughter, who now tries to piece together what´s left of William on her laptop! Thank God it wasn´t me who had put the jeans into the washing machine!
