Jul. 14th, 2016 08:22 pmI got a cost estimate for the new windows in mum´s house which now officially belongs to me, spiders included. It will be a worthwhile though costly investment. Problem is: there are 30 windows listed, but the house has "only" 29, many of them almost identical- but like I said almost but not completely. So which one is the one that does not belong to the calculation? Ene, mene, muh und raus bist du...fine it would be, were this the way to get rid of the unidentified intruder!
And just because it´s fun to splash the cash: I had to purchase a new washing machine, because the old one succeeded in what the constant downpour of the last days failed to accomplish, namely flooding the washing room in the cellar (and the adjacent room, too). The new one is super economical, suuuper noiseless- and takes twice as long for the washing programme. Pity that the old one has gone kaput, now I have to wait at least two hours for my laundry to reappear!
