Our neighbour is very frustrated, because the date for her cataract operation got cancelled. I find it hard to believe that she is so keen on wanting it to happen now, because she has no problems with her eyesight yet, but there´s the big problem with our hospitals and Corona now. I am not talking about those who suffer from a severe case of the disease and get brought to the hospital for treatment, but about those who have been working there and spread the illness among the staff. Our local hospital, a small one but well-equipped, has been put under quarantine, no one in, no one out, because five nurses and a doctor turned out infected with COVID 19. All over our country hospital departments have to get closed. Some of the doctors caught the virus during a congress in the Arlberg region, from where corona is said to have been spread all over the country by ski-tourists, who had fun in the same bar. Unfortunately the bar-keeper from Norway was to one who came to work there with the virus inside his body, and though the Norwegian public health authority had informed the local authorities, no one did react at first. Apparently guests were supposed to drop dead from the bar stools, and only then the lifts, bars and guest houses would get closed. It´s quite a delicate world we live in now, one moment we think we´re relatively safe, the next moment makes our little private universe collapse like a house of cards.
Today I had to leave our assumedly safe haven, because Namo cat is quite ill. Vet said he has bladder stones, but there´s something other wrong with him also. Tomorrow she´ll do a test to check his blood levels. Namo has lost so much weight, though he eats like a horse. Not good at all, I´d say!
