Remember the picture I once posted about my gingko, the one a strong blast of wind had unearthed from its sheltering pot, the one I then planted out in the garden, hoping for a swift recovery? Two days ago I told hubby to cut it down, or better, to pull it out. I could not do it myself, I loved that little tree, had been a present given to me after a rather long stay in the hospital. Yet you cannot save what does not want to be saved, and to be honest, the little fellow did look pathetic without leaves, for many weeks at that. As is usual hubby forgot about the task, so I went down to action this afternoon. Fortunately I did what I thought was a last surveillance of the tree-to-be- there´s buds, there´s tiny leaves! Hooray!

That´s what I found today
After two days without rain we are back to usual- hubby had to pump water out of the pool, water that is almost too cold for bathing, at least for me, but we were down to 12 degrees during night and 15 during day for some days! Lights have been on until noon, so gloomy it was outside, and apparently weather will stay this way until next week. It´s still warm, but I don´t care, because hubby and I will be off to Styria for a few days, where the weather is supposed to be better. On the way home we will pick up number four, because this one will start his holiday job in August. House will be full again! In the meantime daughter mine will do the cat-sitting. I wish her luck! Namo guzzles 400 gram a day. Vaire wants kibbles. Vaire is not allowed to feed on kibbles, that cat tends to have bladder stones. To make her eat her canned food I often mix a small handful of kibbles in the canned food. This cat has found a away to sepearate kibbles from canned food. Canned food on the floor, kibbles in her belly, so not the way intended to be!
