Physician told me that I had a tendonitis from doing too much needlework. Ordered me to rub the wrist with Pasta Cool and wear a brace to immobilise the hand. Apothecary said that pasta Cool only stinks horribly but otherwise is for the birds. She suggested a salve containing frankincense and take some pain relief used for rheumatism, and what shall I say, wrist is almost as good as new. I even did the last row of crocheting yesterday evening, because winter is coming, and I intend to wear this shawl now and not in spring:

Still needs some ironing, and I have to admit that I barely made it to the last chain stitch before wool was finished...

Daughter lighted a fire in the oven, to see if maybe Skully looked more impressive when lit-up from inside. It worked out quite well, only that she did not close the furnace door properly, and our living room reeks a bit smoked, which is not that bad, because at the same time the neighbouring farmer spread slurry on a nearby field, which smelled to high heaven.

We are on pins and needles here, not because of the US elections, that´s their problem they have to cope with, but because our government intends to tighten Corona restrictions into December, with more shops to close, which might lead to the issue of not getting functioning Christmas lights. I haven´t used the ones I bought some time ago even once, they simply vanished after entering our house. A Friend of mine did a tour to some shops today and brought me an assortment of new LED candles and holiday lights, which ended in a long Coffee break at our house at the end of which I was really, really doped by at least four cups of espresso. So when my friend finally left I decided to weed out a chest of drawers, where I sometimes store some of my decorations. That´s when I found my old LED candles. They are all good and going and will contribute to a very bright Christmas, even though I think that´s the only thing that will bright about this year´s holidays!
