Mar. 23rd, 2021 12:17 pmThe eastern part of our country will get stricter rules concerning Corona for Easter. I googled the official incidence rate of those regions then found out that the highest rate we have is not in the East but exactly here where I live. Yay, we have won the jackpot! Again! What I wonder is why no one seems to notice. They say that if incidence is 400 public life will be put to a halt. No one will be allowed to leave the town without a valid Covid test. They are contemplating how this will function with Vienna. Vienna has a coincidence of 287. It will take some time before Viennese will surpass us, but they are working on it. Besides, maybe this will be a testrun for other countries, to see how this goes: How to close off a megapolis, easily explained by Rudi Panicschober.
People here are reckless. Rules against Corona will often be ignored. That I can understand, because I am jolly well fed up, too. But when there´s a sign on the veterinary practice which says "Two persons in the waiting room only, we have no aircon and the windows will stay closed because of pets bolting" this will make me turn round and wait outside in case the two aforementioned are in already. I did exactly this. Two persons with dogs inside, me outside. Then came another one and seated himself inside, and then another. This was the moment when I ran out of patience and stormed the waiting room, loudly complaining about the rudeness of those who simply ignore what is explained at the entrance. Vet came out, she knows me well and is aware that I am a high-risk patient, as she is herself, and that jumping the queue is impolite. She gave me Namo´s medication and I took off. I was livid. Vet´s waiting room is a small one. Four people in there would be one too many in times before Corona, but four, and now...I no more wonder why incidence is so high in our region. I think there are too many pig-heads living among us!
