Girl gone nuts

Daughter had not overslept during her train ride, which is good news. In fact, she has not slept at all for a long time, because after a long night spent with packing, getting up in the wee hours then sitting two and a half hours in a car then a plane then a train she did no more feel tired at all. At one in the morning I got a message from her that informed me she´d be afraid to fall out of her bed because it seemed so narrow. One o´clock here is two where she lives now. Turned out that daughter had had a first evening of fraternisation spent in a pub with her new fellow students. I still do not know if the bed really is so narrow or if she came home a bit tipsy and only perceived it this way. Maybe it´s better to not know about this at all... Good thing is that I did not switch my mobile to silent, so I first read the message she had sent then the one coming from our insurance- danger of flooding because of extreme rainfall! I woke hubby who activated the check valve in the cellar then put extra weights on the outflow pipe outside the basement door. All was good, no water made it into the house, only the pool water, down to 15 degrees now, almost made it into the meadow.
Number four took a train back to Graz, where he will declutter his old room before husband joins him on Thursday to help him move to his new residence. Whoot, one day home alone, at least until evening! I will report if I will feel like Kevin, or if I will be bored... Maybe I can persuade my friend to meet up at our house and drive to a nice caff. Bad thing is she´d have to do the driving, because my car will be off, and hubby´s is a stick car!
