Talking about strange videos
Sep. 23rd, 2021 07:01 pmWatched a Vlog today that was really strange. At first I thought they wanted to show the beauty of a wintry wood (lots of dead leaves, no snow at all but very impressive trees), but then there was a fire pit and a dead turkey, a table and seats that miraculously appeared out of the blue together with knives so huge that I´d be afraid of losing one or more fingers in case I´d have to do the cutting of the shedload of vegetables that had made it into the woods. In the end there was food for ten when there was only two people to be seen (and one who was doing the camera job). While I find the idea of cooking over a fire pit an interesting method to avoid those rapidly climbing prices of oil, gas and electricity, I fear that my husband would be a bit flabbergasted if I began to dig a hole in the garden to put in the firewood. Reminds me that soon there´ll be lots of those fabulous snow camping videos showing up on Youtube, where mostly men plod through snow, saw a lot of trees down before they put up some makeshift tent, start a fire and begin to cook a meal which always includes fried eggs. Try that in my country, and the forest ranger will call the police...
Elsa´s jacket is almost finished. I only have to knit the pockets, stitch two slit pupils on both and knit a lot of spikes for the pointed cap. And, of course, sew on the buttons I have acquired some time ago. If I find them. If not, I will have to buy new ones...
