Done with frying
Oct. 16th, 2021 12:21 pmNot only that I feel I have to serve as a take-out lately, which could be understandable since DiL is apparently unable to cope with two children (that did not come as a surprise), there´s more of those nasty oil attacks going on in my kitchen. Today I had to fry two chicken breasts as addendum to the lunch I had prepared yesterday- as a matter of prudence, because I will have to do the duck plus cook the broth for the ramen in the afternoon. Someone must have felt very hungry during night and reduced the roast potatos with sausages so much that it was no more enough for three. Of course, the cats got boiled chicken meat which I was cutting next to the frying pan when pan decided that a little explosion might liven up my day. My tunic, which I had taken down from the drying rack an hour before is back to the cellar for another round in the washing machine. And my throat has two brandnew blisters. I am really done with frying meat. From now on it will be boiled meat only, even though hubby always complains that boiled meat is hospital cuisine. I have to agree, boiled meat is not as tasty as fried one save for Tafelspitz, but I prefer to leave my kitchen unharmed. It´s like a curse. I always pat the meat dry, so that everything should be okay, but no...
