The farm up the hill has got a new rooster, and the old one must still be there. The new one craws a D minor triad, ending with the quart, while the old one only does quarts. Both are active from 1 AM on. I always wondered what makes them craw so early. What I think now is that there's a lot of foxes and martens on their way during night. The farm is situated on a hill, practically in the wilds. Woods behind the house, to the right and down the slope. No wonder those poor roosters have a hard time warning the hens from what is going on outside the hen house. Or maybe they do all the crawing only to impress the rival. What do I know about roosters! Besides, I better have both of them in my oven, to finally get a decent sleep. Yet it's fun to listen to the new rooster- naturally during day!
Ramen is ready for consummation. I wonder if daughter-in-law keeps the duck breast in mind. Not that hubby has to go back to their house to pick it up. Seriously, that girl has a memory like a goldfish, the equivalent of the German Hirn wie ein Sieb. And please don't tell me it's because taking care of her two children is muddling her brain. She has always been this way. The only thing she won't forget at home is her bag with disinfection wipes. And her make-up bag. And now hopefully diapers for her brandnew babe. And the duck breast, of course....
PS: Rooster has just changed the melody- he now craws whar suspicionally sounds like the beginning of the intro of the old Pinocchio cartoon series...
