Sightless ghost
Nov. 10th, 2021 05:25 pmToday I was giving the main floor a short overhaul, did some cleaning and put away the last remnants of Halloween decoration- and found the sightless ghost again, which I had quickly put away when Elsa threw her first tantrum of the day. Because when Cassian got his hands on one of the dragons and startet a successful amputation of one of its wings, Elsa got hers on the newly achieved howling ghost and promptly pricked out eyes and mouth made of black felt. I took away the dragon plus separated wing and the now sightless, mouthless yet still howling ghost, stuffed it into a drawer and listened to Elsa´s shrieks of outrage for the next minutes. At that moment I fell in love with the ghosts, its howling had been way more decent! Eyes and mouth were not to be found anymore, and I forgot about ghost and dragon. Today, when I did an inspection of Christmas decor, I found the dragon, glued the wing back then thought about what to do with the ghost. I took a permanent marker and painted its eye sockets and mouth black. Should have done so at Halloween, but then Elsa would have had a fit because she´d have to wait about five minutes for the paint to dry! There´s always a reason for drama with her!
Not much going on with the popsicle sticks crafting. I was painting some of the sticks before crafting, but now I realise that many of them begin to deform when coming in contact with wetness, which makes the glueing harder. Hubby brought forth the hot glue gun. Oh no, I hate this monster! I so love my fingers without blisters! And embroidering was neigh impossible, because Cassian was here again, and when he is in the studio he always wants to watch a video clip with me, and some chocolate, of course.
We still have not hauled the citrus trees to the conservatory, but this weekend it will get really cold, down to minus four. High time to get everything ready for hibernation! The plants on the balcony I brought in today. Vaire cat loves the weed in the pots, she has spread it by plucking it and eating some, which she promptly puked out again, directly into Cassian´s box full of cars. Where´s a car wash when you need one?
