I caught a cold during night. Maybe I should have closed the window, it was minus ten outside. But even in a cold room I often sleep next and not under the duvet. It cannot be helped, I woke hubby at six in the morning with a bout of sneezing. And since we were no more able to fall asleep we started the day earlier. Turned out that getting up early is not exactly brilliant when you go to bed late, so a nap at noon was what we needed. I should have done some more little errands for tomorrow, but since my car was off again I gave up, wrapped presents and enjoyed some extra time with daughter mine. Two days here, and already we are back to routine- morning coffee, morning crossword, afternoon coffee, another crossword. Then came number one and brought some presents for niece and nephews. It felt as with Covid, son sitting at one end of the table, I at the other. I wonder if my children ever caught the dratted virus that is spreading among young children just now, as if Covid would not be enough. Son left, I wrapped two more presents when all of a sudden I remembered that I had wanted to take a photo of the cardigan I had knitted for grandchild number five. So here it comes...

I hope DiL will like it! Tomorrow will be an odd day, with number two arriving in the afternoon already. How am I supposed to keep grandson off the conservatory until it will get dark enough outside and the handing out of the presents will happen? Good thing is that there´ll be plenty of time afterwards, when son has returned home, for having calls with my friends. I´d gladly have invited one of them, because she has recently been divorced, but not when she´s still refusing vaccination. Family first, sorry!
