...with the blinds rattling like mad and snow and rain pounding against windows. And when the storm died down for a while, our neighbour´s heating stepped in- must be defect, so loud it is all of a sudden! None of us did sleep well, and when the snowplough made it into our street we thought that finally winter had hit, but far from it! Well, maybe not that far, because there was snow, but not much...

But there´s more to come during night, I just got a severe weather alert from our insurance. My car is parked in the carport, hubby´s gets the usual covering the moment son is back from work, and then we´ll wait... Catastrophes when announced scarcely happen! It would have been nice to have all that snow at Christmas instead of fog and too warm temperatures!
Daughter and I wanted to do a trip to the Chinese supermarket in town today, but alas, my nose is running like a faucet and I am sneezing non-stop. With a nose like mine you can´t go into a shop, or people would flee in terror! Besides, I´d need a drip catcher under my mask!
Today was raid-the-fridge-of-things-that-will-expire-soon day. We had vegetable cream soup with stripes of meat. Tasted good but faily exotic, because I used coconut oil to roast the vegetables. I will have to remember this, one tablespoon of oil has almost the same effect as half a can of coconut milk and is way cheaper. Besides, you won´t have to wrack your brain for recipes for using up the other half of the can, especially if you have a husband who does not like coconut milk! My meat went into Namo cat, who is always hungry these days. Somehow this cat must have noticed that those put into this chair always get fed...
