There are days

...when my mobile will ring more often than usual. Like today- twelve calls, but all from numbers I do not know. You should be aware, that I only pick up, when the caller is on my phone directory. So I ran upstairs twelve times (I do not carry my mobile with me but let it rest next to my bed), and what did I see? Spam call one, then two and so on. Fact is that criminals call older ladies, to get to their money. Only yesterday two of them lost about 100000 euros this way. I am an old lady with an old-fashioned forename. So chance is that someone will try his luck, but, as I said, I only answer calls from numbers I know. But twelve spam calls in a row is a bummer. From now on I will switch my mobile to silent all day long. And thank you, hubby, for allowing our private telephone numbers show up in the phone book!
Last night I woke at 3:10, the exact time when I have to get up when bringing daughter to work. It was not the alarm, which woke me, but the cold. Two windows open, only a light blanket and twelve degrees outside is not a good combo. Night tenperatures here are matching those of (late?) September. Pool water is 21 now, too cold for me to swim. Maybe tomorrow, when the next one-day heatwave will make us sweat- a bit... maybe. 30 degrees is quite warm, okay, but I like it hot in summer. What we have now is a summer as it used to be, when we were young. Only cooler...
