Spider bite
When I thinned out the tomatoes, I felt a short sting on my arm. Nothing noteworty, more like the sting you feel after a brake attack. The next day the skin was a bit swollen, even though I had not scratched. After two days the skin was swollen, red and hot to the touch. Today DiL was here, and I showed her the swelling. She took her magnifier and found two tiny punctures- apparently a spider has bitten me. DiL gave me ointments against the swelling and one to fight off infection. And she ordered me to cover the bite with a plaster. What shall I say, she knows me well...
We had another dog in the house today. Hubby´s former colleague was here, together with her husband and her Portoguese water dog. Dog is black and named after daughter´s proposal, when seeing the young dog lady for the first time- her name is Lakritz (Liquorice). And since rainy weather has finally arrived, our living room soon got filled by the aromatic odour of wet dog- yuck! There are days when I am glad that we do not have dogs anymore. All that rain we usually have here means wet stinky dogs all year round!
I had to do a short shopping trip in the afternoon. Samsung and Sony have run out of cat food. Or more precisely, Samsung has managed to get into son´s kitchen and found the bag with kibble. Please note- if you do not want this cat to get into a room, you have to lock the door. Unfortunately hubby forgot about this rule. I bought a new bag of kibble and wondered about the price- twice as much as at the beginning of the year! I will have to compare prices on Monday, when I will do shopping in Germany. You also see lots of people wander around with masks now. Hubby says this has begun, when weather turned to the cooler side. Maybe those people already practise for autumn and the next surge of Covid! Totally not funny!
