Oh, wait, isn´t it September only? It´s seven degrees outside, and temperatures are said to go down to four. I brought in some plants and did a lousy try to tarp the rest, but apparently most of our tarping material is in service someplace else. Besides, with all that rain working outside is no fun, all the more if you have a cold that can be or cannot be covid, the testing did show not show a clear result. Daughter is negative, hubby is feeling better, so I don´t give a ... I only hope that my cold has not worsened with all that running around in the garden, when I had to pump water out of the pool twice.
I did vacuum both floors today, with pauses every five minutes, when I got out of breath. Good that our house is a small one! Hubby wanted to stay for another night but cannot, because the inflatable mattress died away during the first night. Bad luck for me, I so wanted to spend another long night with my tablet PC, watching vlogs and the like.
I watched yesterday´s vigil, done by the late Queen´s children. Royal Princess Anne seems tougher than her three brothers. No wonder, that the Duke of Edinburgh considered his only daughter as his favourite son! I absolutely hate all those unqualified commentaries in our media. This Queen is not our queen, but I´d gladly have picked her instead of the vacuous, chain smoking president we got, and will get again come October.
Daughter is so very glad that she has not booked a flight to London, to spend her free days visiting a friend- this town must indeed be a madhouse now! She will come tomorrow for an overnight stay because of another early shift, but only in case she stays covid-negative, which I hope she will. There´s only two more Thursday for fraternising with her colleagues, before college starts again!
