Hubby and I just had a light evening meal: self-bred tomatoes, selfmade bread, hubby´s famous bacon jam and the pickled chillies I did some weeks ago. Even the cheese was made by me, though I won´t repeat that- way too much effort. Besides, our cellar is not the best place for letting cheese ripen. A farmer showed me, leant me her tools, but from now on I will buy her cheese and won´t make my own. It´s hard to get natural cow milk anyways!
The day was an uneventful one. I knitted until midday-naturally only after domestic work was done, but with hubby helping out it´s always a quick affair. I called the vet, who still does not want to see me- too much coughing on my part during our conversation, I´d say. She promised to put Lady Vaire´s medication into the box in front of her office and promptly forgot about it, so I did the ten kilometres drive completely in vain. Will have to try again on Friday! Being in that part of the town, I decided to buy more spider webs for Halloween at KIK, because Elsa also loves to decorate. Why should Cassian get all the fun? Meanwhile hubby did the lunch (dumplings with shrimps, made in China) then we both took a nap. More knitting got done in the afternoon, though I have to admit that I spent a lot of time searching for mistakes I surely must have made. Turned out that there´s been no mistakes at all. Wonders never cease!
Since I slept most of yesterday´s crime thriller away, I asked husband mine to wake me in case I´d do the same today. There´s no sense in sleeping in front of the TV when there´s a big bed waiting for you upstairs. Better continue reading Ulysses and drift off to sleep immediately. Believe me, this book will work better than a sleeping pill!
