Almost done
I did my second last airport tour at 3:35 this morning- I had almost overslept, ignoring the first alarm call then did not find the contact lenses. Needless to say that I needed one espresso, before I was even ready for driving. Daughter was also late- she was the one who had invited her colleagues to her home for a last meeting up, before they will scatter in all directions. End of the impromptu party was six in the morning, and at eleven daughter sat in the train to Kufstein, on her way to college. She was at our house at eight, ate half of the Tteokbokki (she had what was left then before her early shift in the morning) then she was off to bed- and woke ten minutes late. This drive was a bit hectic, me ignoring a lot of speed limits and traffic signals blinking yellow. Thankfully there was no police in sight, and other cars were also very rare at such an early time...
Hubby wanted to attend the big opening of a new Lidl shop- I bet he only wanted to see who of our neighbours would be there, too. But the moment hubby is up and running you will think there´s a stampede going on in front of your bedroom. So I was no more able to sleep in any longer but got up, started the washing machine and cleared the dishwasher out. Hubby arrived with a box of donuts. Have I told you how much I love donuts? After cleaning the kitchen area I did half of the left front of the cardigan and the rest after lunch. Tomorrow it´s Cassian day, so the studio has to be cleared of all things for knitting and, even more important, scissors. Young lad has already managed to cut his brother´s hair, that´s why Flavius looks a bit shaggy-shabby at the moment. Still not completely sure, if I have enough dark grey wool. Still not sure, if I will have to enlarge Elsa´s cardigan. Not a clou how to do the inner lining. I have bought two cheap cotton sweaters, which might do the trick, if I cut them in shape.
Since hubby found out that another package of ham he had bought at Lidl shows also damage, he opened it, decided it was okay and opted for toast for lunch. Fine with me, this way I had more time for knitting and resting. I also tried out another snowflake pattern, but had to give up after round three. Tomorrow is another day, and maybe my eyes will be less tired then and able to find the crux of the matter...
