Oct. 14th, 2022 04:25 pm With Cassian in the house timetable gets turned upside down. Hubby had to be up early- we usually get up around half past seven, not that we sleep that long, but staying in bed reading has its advantages. But he had to pick our grandson up and bring him to kindergarten at eight. Then grocery shopping- fresh bread and last but not least milk, which we almost never have in the fridge. Coffee we drink without milk, and Palatschinken and Kaiserschmarrn get done with cream mixed with water. Even Grießbrei tastes good with this combination. But muesli with creamy water- yuck!
Lunch had to be ready at twelve, when Cassian came back from kindergarten- we usually eat in the afternoon. So today feeling of hunger will be back in the evening- not good at all! The nap after lunch is now very appreciated with the young one, it took a short video clip and off he was, and I, too. Usually this time of the day is my most productive one, with the best light in the studio for knitting or drawing, but no such luck today! Cassian slept like a log in our bed, and all I could do was rest a bit then read next to him. It's about time that hubby installs the door handles the common way- Vaire cat is too old now to open it by jumping on the handle. Then our grandchild would not be imprisoned in the bedroom, because he has not yet figured out how to open the door, when the handle is upside down! The two doughnuts hubby had bought got eaten by Cassian alone. That boy can eat all of a sudden, first a refill of the noodles we had for lunch, two doughnuts in the afternoon- I wonder what I will serve him in the evening. Dil suggested semolina porridge with caramelised apples- hell yes, I so love to caramelise apples in the evening! At least hubby packed the boy into his car after afternoon snack and drove off, to buy more decoration for Halloween. I wish him luck, shops here do not sell a lot for what they call the ´most unnecessary import from the US´. Maybe he better be creative and craft some decoration! Then again, it´s blessedly silent in the house just now. Cassian has been a well-adjusted, quiet child- once! Now he has turned into a hyperactive noisy brat. My ears are still ringing, even though grandpa and grandchild are off since half an hour at least. Oh, the merits of kindergarten...
