Yesterday I did everything to finally get a long refreshing sleep- fresh bedding, a nice hot shower, a glass wine in front of the TV, to bed at ten- I fell asleep the moment my head hit the cushion. And sat upright at one in the morning, watching my bedroom shining with blue lights as if in a disco. Hubby went downstairs, looking if maybe our paper man had problems with his car, though delivering our dailies at one in the morning would have been early even for him. I had a look out of the balcony window- and what did I see? Two fire trucks trying to put out the fire in neighbour's garage! That idiot had torched it while making bacon. Spectacle lasted for two hours, honking included, because what little traffic was on the road at such an early time was not able to pass by. The garage is situated directly next to the main road now blocked by the fire trucks. Was situated. I think neighbour will have to build a new one...
Both hubby and I were bleary-eyed in the morning but drove to Aldi for a last grocery shopping then found some Playmobil for Xaver he does not yet own. Then back home we went, because I had decided to tackle Elsa's cardigan according to the motto it's now or never. And indeed, Elsa's cardigan is finished now. And Cassian's is halfway done. Only Flavius will have to wait- I accidentally bought the wrong size of t-shirt for the inner lining. Will have to shop for a bigger one after Christmas. All I can say is that it's a lot of work to shape a standard shirt into raglan form! I do not know anymore how many tantrums I threw this afternoon, but hubby was impressed by the variety of swearwords in my repertory!
