Very quiet day
Jan. 11th, 2023 06:14 pmWith a cat so sick we were glad that none of the boys was to come today. Only daughter showed up, mostly to see the state her cat was in. So in a way the naughty dog is partially at fault, that cat is in such a bad state- and me, of course, because I had initiated the visit of hubby´s ex-colleague. How should I have known that she´d bring the dog with her? We never took ours with us when visiting friends! Surely a dog can stay home alone for two hours, but nope, this one definitely not! Vaire must have fallen during the hunt, and got hurt in the wake, and now there´s that bleeding and something´s wrong with her back...
Hubby did burger for lunch, and they were even more fabulous than those we had at Halloween! I had one for lunch and saved the second one for dinner- tasted superb even when cold (I do not like to heat up food in the microwave, and even less when you cannot stir it). I am not a fan of beef, but the meat for the burgers was not tangy at all (yes, to me beef often has a tangy flavour). Now let´s hope that we get the same brand of meat and gherkins for Super Bowl, when it will be burger time again!
Otherwise I did not do much today. Mopped up the hoppala Lady Vaire left in front of the ornamental study desk (one of the many things in our house hubby needs for storing his papers and whatever he decides to collect), took down a lot of the Christmas decoration with the help of daughter dearest, did some crossword puzzles, had too many coffees- and that´s it for the day.
